We have a new Facebook page: Here. On Thursdays between 7 and 7.15 pm Father Philip will be leading a time of prayer on this page. Join him on Facebook

We are deeply grateful to those who give to our churches weekly. We all appreciate that during the present times it is impossible to place an envelope in a collection plate on a Sunday and ask that parishioners consider keeping their envelopes and bringing them along at the earliest opportunity when churches re-open and we are able to meet together once again.

We are also grateful to the many who use the bank as a means of giving and thank them for continuing to allow their gifts to be made through this difficult period.

If any parishioners would like to change their giving to bank transfers when the emergency is over and we can all move around once again please contact Kevin Staveley for details of how to do this. In most cases this will involve a visit to your bank.

Church in Wales – Gift Direct now online

It is now even easier to give regularly to your local church. With church buildings closed income is drastically reduced and yet we continue to support the spiritual needs of local communities as well as supporting the most vulnerable in society.

When life returns to normal we will continue to play a vital part in the life of our communities.

Further details of the Gift Direct scheme (which can be accessed on line now) please see here

As you will be aware the Annual Business Meeting normally takes place before the end of April. This year this will be impractical.

“The Bench of Bishops have agreed the following actions in respect of all parishes who were unable to hold a Vestry Meeting before 30 April 2020. All officers (‘People’s’ Churchwardens, Parochial Church Councillors and parochial representatives) in office as at 30 April 2020 are reappointed and remain in office for a limited additional period from 1 May 2020 until the earlier of:
a. The date that the 2020 Vestry Meeting is held; and
b. 31 October 2020 (*1)” .
